Course Description:

This course covers the fields related to animal cell culture in biopharmaceutical and virus vaccine industries and provides systematic professional training from introduction to advanced level for personnel related to cell line construction, medium development, process optimization, scale-up, production, quality control, and other departments. The content is based on background knowledge in cell biology and process engineering, teaching methods and experiences in culture media development and optimization, analysis of process data through metrology and kinetic calculations, emphasizing reactor engineering concepts, in-depth discussion of process design methods for flow-plus and perfusion cultures, as well as key engineering issues in scale-up processes, and design and control of product quality.
